VILLE BASEBALL YOUTH CAMP
July 14-17, 2025
THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CHILD’S SUMMER!
-
DEVELOP
Mornings are all about development. Coach Shehan provides a morning message. We warm up, then go into fundamental stations on individual defense, team defense, hitting, throwing, and base running.
-
COMPETE
Every afternoon is about competing. We play old school, sandlot baseball. Kid’s can play any position they want, while learning the game the way it was meant to be learned—by playing.
-
LEARN
Evey afternoon, we take a break to hear from awesome guest speakers. Big leaguers, minor leaguers, scouts, professional umpires, and more have attended camp to provide experience and wisdom. Who doesn’t like to talk baseball while eating a cold ice pop?
FAQs
What will the daily schedule be like?
Every day starts at 9 AM with a team talk, followed by warmup and instructional stations. Following stations, we walked to the Upper Deck dining hall for an all you can eat lunch (paid for with your registration fee). Following lunch, we play games at multiple fields across campus. We meet around 3:30 PM at Cooper Park for our daily guest speaker with ice pops. We wrap up camp with our daily awards at 4 PM each day.
What ages are eligible to attend?
We have separate morning stations for players 6-7. At age 8, campers go to all of the normal stations. Players who have begun high school are not eligible to attend.
What should my camper bring?
Players should bring cleats and sneakers (comfortable to walk in), a bat, helmet, glove, catching gear for catchers, water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit and towel (last day of camp only).
What about lunch/food alergies?
Every player will eat lunch at the Upper Deck, our all-you-can-eat dining hall. They do provide food for campers with allergies. If your camper carries medication for allergies, please let Coach Baker and/or Coach Shehan know at registration.
Can I watch my child participate?
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch from the bleachers at Cooper Park each morning and may attend games in the afternoon. Please stay off the field.
Can I drop off my child early?
Coaches arrive every day by 8 AM and your camper will be supervised if you need to drop them off after 8 AM and before 9 AM. Camp begins promptly at 9 AM.
Do you provide/sell cold drinks?
We provide ice water for all campers. Please bring a water bottle. Water and Gatorade will be on sale for $2/Gatorade and $1 for bottled water.
Is there a group discount?
Not at this time.
Is there a discount for families with siblings?
Yes. Please email David.Baker@millersville.edu for a discount code.
What if it rains?
Normally, we will move indoors when it rains. If an entire day gets washed out, we may choose to use Friday as a rain date.
